Speechless...

Wow, I went to see the film "House of Flying Daggers" tonight. It was amazing......... I haven't had a film make me feel so much in a long time. The movie runs along the lines of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Hero. But I think House of Flying Daggers is now my favorite out of the three. I am not going to tell you the storyline, you just have to see it for yourself. Please try to see it in the theater as opposed to renting it. It is amazing to watch on a big screen. If you live in a larger city they will probably be playing it at your local theater. If you live in a city like Montgomery, you will have to refer to an independent theater (ours is the Capri) or a college that shows non-mainstream films.

Wow, just so blown away visually and within my heart. Almost cried, but I didn't want to be that vulnerable in front of strangers in the theater. It was amazing and beautiful. Check it out if you can.....

Hooray! I can now post pictures to my blog. Just to test this out I'll post a picture of me as a kid. I was a cutie pie if I say so myself...sportin' the muppets overalls and vibrant red hair. Posted by Hello
So, I am finally blogging.....yeah yeah yeah .......it's been a while. But who reads this anyway?

Well I survived Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's without a complete meltdown about my stresses of a broken heart, confused soul, and soon to be "jobless" self. By the way, New Year's Eve was a blast......can't wait until another late night get together with the Montie' crew.

MUSIC: Oh how I am falling in love with music again. I am mostly going back to music from my younger days and late Sunday nights of 120 Minutes on MTV (yeah, I should have been sleeping for school the next morning.....but the music called my heart). I bought three cd's with my Best Buy giftcard given to me by the girls at work......so on my birthday I purchased Elliott Smith/From A Basement on the Hill (amazing album, it's sad to have lost such an amazing musician), Pedro the Lion/Achilles Heal, and Interpol/Antics. / This past Saturday I rationalized a good reason for me to make a trip to Bananas CD/Record shop.....bad Cindy bad! Well, I ended up with three great cds: The Best of New Order (amazing nostalgia), the new Morrisey cd, and Catherine Wheel/Ferment. I originally went to Bananas in search of Catherine Wheel's album "Chrome" but they only had Ferment. Chrome is really the only album I have heard, plus any videos that played on 120 minutes. Chrome has been on my mind a lot since someone posted the thread "Let's Make Out" on the Vagrant boards I post on. "What song/cd just puts you in the mood to make out?", well for me Chrome popped into mind. Wow, sigh, swoon. So, ok, yeah, back to the subject........Ferment is amazing! Sigh, swoon, sigh again. It's their first album and it has really made me feel alive. Driving guitars, swooning lyrics and vocals....yeah!

Well, I am making it day by day. I have applied for a transfer with the company (Regions). The job is in Nashville, TN. I figure if Nashville is in the path I am to be lead on, it will happen. If not, I will figure it out........blah blah blah. They are probably going to extend our date through the end of February, so I might have some more time on my hands. Whatever and ever amen.

night, c
